Good Eats!

Jeanne is a great cook and whipped up these wild game meals during our stay in Colorado!

This meal was great!  It was backstaps from my Colorado Mule Deer with Orzo rice and mixed vegetables.

This was breakfast with elk sausage, hash browns and French toast!

Now this was tasty!  Elk steaks with mashed potatoes and green peas.

Gila Monster

I went out scouting for Coues deer this morning with my oldest son Parker. We saw lots of baby quail and a few deer. Parker found this Gila Monster on the rock right next to where we were glassing. It is really neat to see these big lizards.

Big Fish Day

Janis and I had a great day on the river and landed some nice fish.  We measured four fish over 19 inches!

Wilderness Athlete Meal Replacement Shakes

I just got my first taste of the Wilderness Athlete Meal Replacement and Recovery shake.  I can't believe they made it taste so good as well as maintaining the most important nutritional qualities.  It went down smooth and I felt full.  I am excited to try this on my fall hunts and in the backcountry.  It comes in Strawberry and Chocolate flavor.
