Tippy the Ram-Desert Bighorn Sheep AZ

Darr and I had seen this ram in Unit 44B North that we nicknamed Tippy several times over the 2009, 2010 and 2011 sheep scouting and hunting seasons.  These first pics were captured on 10/26/10 prior to Ron Arndorfer's Hunt.  Tippy continued to grow and then was harvested in December of 2011 by hunter Brad Reily of Yuma.  Tippy was checked out by the Arizona Game and fish at 171 6/8.  Congrats to Brad on a great ram!

The Hunt for the Logo Ram

This is a video account that kind of tells the story of Ron Arndorfer's Arizona Desert Bighorn sheep that he harvested in Unit 44B North with Colburn and Scott Outfitters.  Most of the footage is new stuff that has not been seen before.  Enjoy!

More Live photos of LOGO Ram

Tyler Hall nicknamed the Logo Ram in the 2009 season.  I still remember how Glenn and Tyler were excited when they came back to camp in Nov. 2009 after spotting Logo.  Tyler said he looks like the ADBSS logo.  So the name stuck.  Darr and I made many scouting trips to the unit starting back in February of 2010.  The LOGO ram was the biggest and prettiest ram that we saw throughout the summer and fall of 2010.  So it was decided that LOGO would be the main focus of our attention once the hunt started.  Below are some photos of LOGO prior to the opening of the season.

Below are some photos of the LOGO Ram in November 2009.  He definitely grew over the course of the year.  Check it out!

Ron Arndorfer's Desert Bighorn Sheep

The Logo Ram is now going home to Wisconsin!  Colburn and Scott Outfitters hunter, Ron Arndorfer, completed his Grand Slam by harvesting this fine desert bighorn.  We had a fantastic hunt!  We have tons of live photos and video of this ram prior to the season.  I will be posting some more photos and video soon.  Special thanks to the following people on this hunt: Ron Arndorfer, Darr Colburn, Glenn Hall, Tyler Hall, Daniel Franco, Craig Blackburn,  Shane Koury, Jaime Adams, Richard Owens, Floyd Green, Julie May, Josh Flowers.  The ram should score around 172 gross and 170+ net.

Official Score on Desert Sheep

The Desert sheep that Glenn Hall harvested in December was officially scored today.  We had such a great memorable hunt.  The official Boone and Crockett score is 177 inches gross and 176 4/8 net.  This should make the ram the new #3 muzzleloader in the Longhunter Society.  His measurements are: right side, 34 7/8 length of horn, 15 0/8 bases, D2 14 5/8, D3 13 3/8, D4 10 4/8, the left side, 35 1/8 length of horn, 15 1/8, 14 5/8, 13 1/8, 10 5/8.

Congrats to Glenn Hall and family on such a wonderful ram!  Thanks for letting me be a part of the experience.
