Summer Fishing Photos 3

I made a trip up to the Green River in Utah this last week with my friends the McGaughey's.  Hunter, Westen and their dad Steve.  We stayed at Flaming Gorge Resort and fished for three days.  Many fish were caught and laughs were shared.  We had some big fish on that got away but that is what keeps us coming back and wanting more!  I have had some great guests on the Jay Scott Outdoors Podcast lately and the support from the listeners has been overwhelming.  Here are the last few episodes:

Summer Fishing Photos 2

The summer has arrived in the Roaring Fork Valley with temperatures reaching 90 degrees.  The rivers are very high, off color and muddy.  I am anxiously awaiting the floating season that will be on us before we know it.  I have been logging podcast episodes and have been enjoying interviewing many guests.  Here are a few photos of some of my daily fishing expeditions with friends L Dean Tucker and Danny Bright.  Streamer fishing has been the ticket lately on cloudy days.

I went fishing the other day with my friend Danny Bright and caught some nice fish.  The Roaring Fork and Eagle rivers are at 17 year high flows so we haven't been float fishing yet.  I just uploaded Episode 36 of the Jay Scott Outdoors Western Big Game and Fishing Podcast with guest Brody Henderson of Vail Valley Anglers.  In this episode, we breakdown the Eagle river from top to bottom and go over the different hatches that we will see throughout the summer.

Green River Fishing Trip June 2015

With the flows high and the water off color in the Roaring Fork Valley, we made the decision to head north to the Green River below Flaming Gorge Reservoir.  I was joined by my friends L Dean Tucker and Danny Bright.  We stayed at the Flaming Gorge Resort which is always a delight and enjoyable.  The cicadas were around in the first two miles of the A section.  We got a few fish and shared some good laughs.
