I went fishing today with my friends, Jack and L Dean, on the spring creeks. The brown trout were plentiful and eager to come to the net. The water in the creeks is still a bit off color but just about perfect. The big river is still rolling and probably is at least a week out. I am very thankful for good friends, cool streams and brown trout!

6/17/14 Colorado Fishing Report
The fishing is starting to heat up in Colorado! Danny Bright and I went out on the Lower Eagle yesterday and floated the raft on her maiden voyage for the year. My hands and shoulders are definitely feeling it today! Dano caught a few nice fish but the river is flowing over 2850 cfs and the shots were few and far between. I bet in another week the clarity will be much better and the pockets will open up. Check out my friend L Dean's photos of a couple of big rainbows he caught here in the Roaring Fork Valley. My net looks little compared to his big rainbows! It is great to see the rivers flowing big and healthy. Over the next week to 10 days things should really open up.

6/12/14 Fishing Report
We arrived in Colorado to much cooler weather than what we had in the Arizona desert. The snowpack this year is above average and the river flows are still real high. I have been out checking different waters and getting the boat ready. I slipped out today with friends Danny Bright and L Dean Tucker and we managed to find a few fish. Should be a great fishing summer here in Colorado!

70th Anniversary of D Day-Normandy France
I just returned from a humbling trip on the North Coast of France in the region of Normandy. 70 years ago today the Allied forces set forth to liberate France from Nazi Germany. No words can really express my gratitude for what these men did during those days. This is a trip that I wish every American could take to get a sense of what was done here. June 6th 1944 was a historic day for sure. God Bless the USA! Thanks to all of our Troops and their families for their sacrifices!
