Danny's Big Eagle River Rainbow Trout Video

We saw this rainbow as we floated down the Eagle river. he was feeding just under the surface on emergers.  Dano was able to get the right drift and caught this nice fish by using a small size 18 flashback Hares ear dropper. He was measured right at 22 inches.  We took this video and a few picks and released him so someone else could catch him another day.  Glory to God for making beautiful rivers for us to fish and enjoy!

The SS Scott has been on the water quite a bit lately since the river levels have come down.  Our man, Janis Putelis, has been behind the oars and putting us on fish.  We have caught some nice fish and have tangled many fly lines!

Eagle River Trip Report 7.23.11

This footage actually shows 7.20 and 7.23 fishing clips. We had two great days fishing with Janis. Jeanne's arm needed to be iced for the amount of fish she caught. Those two are dangerous together when they get on the water.

Eagle River Trip Report 7.18.11

We fished the lower Eagle and the flow was at 2390 cfs.  We landed many nice fish and had a ball of a time on the river.

Eagle River Trip Report 7.15.11

We had a good day fishing the Eagle River with guide Janis Putelis.  the water was still high at 3000 cfs.  You can see from the pics that the water is still big but retreating daily.  The holes and seams are starting to open up by the day.  Save your strength emailing me about my sweet fishing hat.  The last picture shows what Janis has to put up with on a daily basis with me.  I can tangle a fly line like no one else I have ever seen!

Eagle River Trip Report 7.05.11

We floated the Eagle yesterday and the water was at 3200 cfs!  It was more of a rafting trip than fishing trip but Jeanne managed to relocate a few as we zipped by.  Very tough conditions but it was time to put some blisters on my dishpan hands.  The river has completely changed in lots of areas from the high water and there are several big trees that are displaced throughout the river.

We had another great day on the river with Janis Putelis!  Also, if I get another comment about my floppy hat then I am not sure what I will do.  It's my hat and it has fish slime on it.....and NO you can't buy it from me!
