Summer Fish Pics

Jeanne and I had a great summer season in Colorado this year!  We caught some nice fish and had lots of fun with Janis Putelis.  The highlight of the season for me was learning how to row our 13' Star Inflatable flyfishing raft.  I certainly have a lot to learn but it was great to gain some experience behind the oars.

Jeanne is a great cook and whipped up these wild game meals during our stay in Colorado!

This meal was great!  It was backstaps from my Colorado Mule Deer with Orzo rice and mixed vegetables.

This was breakfast with elk sausage, hash browns and French toast!

Now this was tasty!  Elk steaks with mashed potatoes and green peas.

Fishin' on the Fork

We had a great time yesterday fishing the Roaring Fork with Janis.  We had several doubles and had some great dry fly action.  Watch in HD!

There were two golden eagles that looked like they had some fishing plans also!

Hike to Booth Lake

We had a great hike yesterday up to Booth Lake.  The lake sits at about 11,400 feet and the hike was beautiful.  Lots of wildflowers in the meadows and the trail followed Booth Creek up to the lake.  It was 12 miles round trip with 3080 feet of elevation gain to the lake.  We saw some pretty cutthroat trout swimming in the lake looking for food.  The good Lord did a good job on the mountains here in Colorado!

Jeanne and I had some great fun with Janis yesterday on the Eagle River.  I even got to row a little after some constant begging.  The water levels are dropping fast and the fishing is getting hot!  Make sure to watch in HD.
