The "B and B boys" did it again. I nicknamed these guys the Beavis and Butthead guide service a few years ago and the name has stuck with them. I told them to get brownie points and not go and fight the wind but they went anyway. They hammered them! Here is the story told by Uncle Eusty, "Jimmy, Tenney and I had another successful turkey hunt on the wilds of the San Carlos last weekend. We battled gale force winds when we got there on Friday, but still managed to roost some gobblers that night. We slipped into the spot early on Saturday morning and got set up. We called in 4 toms right off the roost and I dropped my bird at 40yds with a hefty dose of 3 ½” #5s to head. We grabbed my bird and ran after another group of toms we heard in the distance and we called in another 5 gobblers with a hen and Jimmy managed to whack one out of that group. We got into a few more groups of birds on the rest of the trip, but none would ever get close enough to give old Tenney the opportunity to send one in there.
So we went 2 for 3. Not bad for opening season and also having Mother Nature throwing us a few curveballs here and there! " Great job!!
