Here are some more great pics from the Meeske sheep hunt adventure in Unit 22.  There is nothing like finding a cave and sleeping in it.  We had some awesome experiences on this hunt that will definitely stay with me forever.  Ernie took the ram to the game and fish today and they scored it at 187 6/8 gross and 186 5/8 NET. Score update**186 1/8 NET Official Boone and Crockett.   It was aged at 9 years old.  The ram has over 110 inches of mass starting with 16 4/8 inch bases and 16 inch 1st quarters.

Here are some sheep photos that were taken during our scouting and hunting trips in the 2012 sheep season.  I have so many photos and videos it has been taking awhile to get organized.  If you like sheep then you will enjoy the posts of the next several days and weeks.  This is a great ram that we had to think long and hard about prior to the hunt starting.  I believe this ram was harvested by one of the other hunters in the unit and I believe this ram will score over 180 inches.  Fantastic horn length especially on his left horn which I bet is close to 39 inches.

I was so honored to be a part of this hunt for Ernie's once in a lifetime ram.  We had a great time with friends and family and memories were made that will never be forgotten.  I would like to try and thank the people that helped on this hunt in one way or another.  I sure hope not to leave anyone out.  Ernie Meeske, Seth Meeske, Jeremy Plain, Justin Taylor, Jack Johnson Jr and Sr, Gary Kimball, Erv Earll, Janis Putelis, Greg Koons, Mogollon Taxidermy, Cody Nelson, Darr Colburn, Floyd Green and of course the Good Lord above for keeping us safe and watching over us.  Special Thanks to the Meeske's for letting me be apart of their great adventure.  The video of this hunt should be unreal and I will be posting it soon.

Ernie Meeske's AZ Unit 22 Giant Desert Bighorn Sheep

I just got in from sheep hunting with the father son team of Ernie and Seth Meeske.  Ernie harvested a absolutely beautiful ram yesterday.  I am going through the photos and video and will be posting more soon.  I have to say without a doubt we gave it everything we had and located, filmed and watched some truly world class rams.  I got to witness a father and son truly having an experience of a lifetime together on this hunt.  A few words that come to mind when I think about our shared experience: heart, determination, love, pure, honesty, fearless, perseverance, family and humbleness.  I feel truly blessed to have been apart of this whole experience!  More pics and video coming soon.  Update:  AZGFD Checked ram in at 187 6/8 Gross and 186 5/8 NET.  Update***The official score of Ernie's ram is 186 1/8 Net B&C
