Thanksgiving Coues Hunt

The Thanksgiving Coues hunt of my cousin Jimmy and my friend Darr started on Thanksgiving night. The crew consisted of Jimmy Vincent, Rob Peel, Darr Colburn and myself. We started hiking in at about 8pm. It rained the whole time and we arrived at our backpack camp site at 2am. We were soaked but spirits were high for the next morning. We awoke to rain and completely fogged in. The fog did not lift until noon. We glassed a little the first day between rain and fogg and saw several bucks. The next morning was clear, cold and windy. We glassed from one predominate knob and we saw 35 bucks with the biggest being 95 inches. It was a great day of glassing. The next morning I hiked out to get ready for my Kansas hunt and Jim and Darr went to glass for the day. I hope they find a big buck to shoot!! Stay tuned for more details because they have three more days to hunt.
